3 September 2012 – Photograph of Lois June Lawrence Baker
We have passed a Postcard-backed portrait of Lois June Lawrence Baker, born 1 June 1921, to her daughter. This photograph has now been included in the “Individual Photographs” Album in our Successes Gallery.

19 July 2012 – Vintage Postcards of Coggeshall, Essex, now online
We have now placed online our collection of vintage postcards of Coggeshall, Essex. These have been placed online solely for your enjoyment and are not for sale. However, if you can prove your descent from any of the people in the Real Photograph postcards we would be happy to let you have a digital copy.

This collection of postcards includes several class photographs from Coggeshall schools. Two of the photographs name the children featured.

18 July 2012 – Carte de Visite of William Paul Bridson Passed to Great Grandson
We have passed a Carte de Visite of William Paul Bridson, 4th King’s Own Regiment, to his Great Grandson. Further details can be found here. The Carte de Visite has now been included in the “Individual Photographs” Album in our Successes Gallery.

18 July 2012 – Reminiscene re-launched

We have today re-launched Reminiscene following a number of significant changes to the site.

We are aware that the need to scroll through a large number of long web pages to view the photographs in our collection is far from ideal. We have therefore placed much of our collection in slide shows and have significantly reduced the number of pages in this site. Wherever possible, we have included photographer’s details and inscriptions as photograph captions.

In addition to giving the site a cleaner look, we have made the following significant changes:

Named Photographs
As before, there are separate pages for individual photographs with names beginning A – D, E – H, J – N, O – S, and T – Y. However, we now only show one photograph for each letter of the alphabet and have, instead, hyperlinked each name to the relevant photograph. In addition, named photographs may now be viewed as a slide show on the Named Gallery page. This slide show contains several albums. You will therefore need to click on the Gallery button (far left on the slide show navigation bar) to select an album.

Unnamed Photographs
We have now removed the seven long pages of unnamed photographs. These photographs may now be viewed in a slide show on our Unnamed Gallery page. There is only one album in this slide show.

Albums and Collections
We have removed the pages for individual albums and collections. These photographs can now be viewed in a slide show on our Albums page. You will need to click on the Gallery button (far left on the slide show navigation bar) to select an album.

Successes
Our Successes can now be viewed in a slide show on our Successes page. Once again, there are several albums so you will need to click on the Gallery button on the slide show navigation bar to select an album to view.

Privacy and Cookies
We have now added a Privacy and Cookies document.
