Preserving the Past
Welcome to Reminiscene! We hope that you will enjoy our extensive collection of Vintage Postcards, Victorian and Edwardian Cartes de Visite and Cabinet Portraits, and other nostalgic photographs. Almost all of these have been rescued from antique shops and fairs and, unless otherwise stated, were acquired in the United Kingdom. We hope that by placing this collection online we will have played a significant role in their preservation.
The vintage postcards have been placed here solely for the enjoyment of visitors to Reminiscene. However, we aim to return the photographs of people to proven descendants. If you believe that your ancestor's photograph appears on Reminiscene and can prove descent please contact us.
We very much welcome feedback and hope that you will spare a few moments to let us have your comments on this site. Thank you.
